Preparations are in the final stages for the New Year’s Eve extravaganza on the Stradun and the city expects up to 3000 tourists to arrive. To help with the flow of traffic and to ease the congestion the city bus company “Libertas” will provide free transport on New Year’s Eve for the early evening to the following morning. And for those brave enough to try and park their cars parking will be free of charge in the Port of Gruž and the main public garage. Special traffic controls will come into force on the night of the 31^st and from 7:30pm until the early hours of the morning Zagrebačka Street will be closed. Dubrovnik fire-fighters, the police force and first aid will all be on hand to make sure the event goes smoothly. It has also been confirmed that the electrical company will arrange an extra powerful generator for the Old City to guarantee the program on the Stradun is uninterrupted.
