The American news station CNN has been singing the praises of Croatia. According to the station Croatia has become one of the “now” destinations for the celebrity jet set. Due to the financial problems of certain countries, such as Dubai, other world destinations have taken over as “in” places to see and of course be seen. In a report about Croatia CNN wrote “Celebrities are rediscovering what tourists knew in the 1980s. Croatia, on the Adriatic arm of the Mediterranean, rivals other European seaside areas with beaches, sailing, and superb cuisine that have attracted superstars like Steven Spielberg, Andre Agassi, Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, and Sharon Stone”.

Why would i want Celebs and Jet setters coming here for a week, altering the demographic, raising prices on "hype"
--------------------------------
Why would YOU....YOU
YEAH! Ten years ago British people wouldn't have cared less about Croatia, they wouldn't have even known what or where it is! Though now because its becoming a tourist attraction people want to go and live there!
Why would I wont Britons coming to Dubrovnik now, you are altering the demographic to, do you , you are talking about raising prices on "hype".

Really, there is no sense in your arguments as there is not logic to them. whoever you are .... stop attacking people.
It is taking time to recover from the very recent "hype" that poisoned our minds and be deflated, to "normaler" and managable level.
This new hype about increasing the profile of Croatia as to where celebrities take their holidays will only encourage further speculative and spectacular hype raising prices and the cost of living, when we all know it is not sustainable....Dubai was tredding water for ten years, now they are sinking.
Do you want this to happen to Croatia?
I am not against raising Croatia's profile. I am against doing it this way. Why dont we concerntrate on a better quality of life for its residence and not the celebrity jet set????

Barbarosa....
Argue the Logic and Point instead of attacking people. How can CNN make these conclusions, when hardly any Celeb came to Croatia for holidays this year...Add to my list to prove me wrong...and argue what benefit they provided????
I am a patriot.
I do not spit on Dubrovnik.
I do not spit on Croatia.
Why would I want Croatia to be an "IN" country?????
For me its always "IN" I live here.
Why would i want Celebs and Jet setters coming here for a week, altering the demographic, raising prices on "hype"
What is the longevity of this??? Look at Dubai, 10 years and now BROKE! Because of Artificial Highs.
Maybe TITO was right, please come and enjoy our country on a holiday and be our welcomed guest. However you cannot buy any real estate here...if you like the place sooo much come back next year.....
I really think you have the wrong idea...Croatia needs to be preserved. NOt exploited...We Croats need to make our own future and not a future built on Bull S**t such as where "celebrities" go on holiday.
Look at Germany after WWII. The Miracle Economy in the 1950's...They rolled up there sleeves, got things in order and got to producing things....to the better end and standard of living.
As for Bath....it is a crappy place.

ps... i will help you..
i forgot to list kevin spacey....
seems to me to be a nice person...
i think he might be a bit ******ed off with Dubrovnik...
the paparrazzi where filiming him and photographing him and actually badgering him
kevin said to stop filming.....and the paparrazzi kept filiming....
now is that anyway to behave toward a "celebrity"....
the guy obviously wanted his personal time to enjoy the city and soak up some of its culture, instead we left a bitter taste in his mouth....
5/5 for Bonton....We acted like Kretans!

what is your problem, in every single post you are spiting on Croats, Croatia, Dubrovnik, if you do not like here go back to your England why you are coming here, if you do not like in Dubrovnik, then

eventhough it is nice to hear.....this is an exaggeration and unfounded...all those people shown below were here a few years ago....not many celebs were here at all this year...so how can they make these deductions...mickey rouke came out for the film festival, however he was renumerated for that. George Lucas, Beyonce, Armani (but he is here every year looking for boy toys)& some rich russian with the boat A, who else??
