Dietmar Gamerith has been in love with Dubrovnik for as long as he can remember. Believe it or not he has been to Dubrovnik 52 times and is in the process of planning his 53^rd trip. He first arrived in Dubrovnik in 1969, when he was four years old, with his parents and since then has been on average once a year. Not only is he a self confessed lover of the city but he also organizes promotional evenings with his colleagues, friends and family to promote his second home. He recently drove with friends from his home in Graz, Austria for his 52^nd visit. He has made numerous trips and excursions around the area and has visited every island close to Dubrovnik. – The town has a wonderful aura and is wonderful for my heart and soul. The clear sea around Dubrovnik is just so beautiful – concluded Dieter. He loves the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and his favorite is the local folklore ensemble Linđo. Last year he received a special certificate from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board for his loyalty and promotion of the city. His whole house is decorated in framed copies of The Dubrovnik Times and as he says “This super newspaper is very interesting to read and gives concrete information for all tourists from all over the world. I have the cover pages of all copies hanging in my flat”.
